The executive director of the Bloomfield Center Alliance, James McCrone, is going door-to-door on Washington Street these days advising business owners that as much as $3,000 in grant money will be made available if they wish to spruce up their facades with an awning, sign or barrier-free, ADA-compliant entrance.
