Community Survey re: Bloomfield Center

10-29-2019

Earlier this year, the Bloomfield Center Alliance (BCA) achieved formal designation in the Main Street New Jersey Program (MSNJ). This made the organization eligible to receive technical assistance and financial support from the state (see press article). The National Main Street Center (NMSC), an organization dedicated to strengthening downtown commercial districts throughout the country, is being brought in by MSNJ to conduct an "economic strategy" visit with the BCA. The goal will be to help clarify a vision for Bloomfield Center and identify strategic opportunities that can be pursued based on community input, market data, and current trends. We are inviting the community to assist in our mission of building a stronger, more viable downtown by completing a 5-10 minute online survey (see link below). Feedback from business/property owners, local residents, and other stakeholders is critical in helping understand what is feasible so that winning strategies can be planned and implemented (note the survey will close on Friday, November 15th). Responses will be confidential and the results collected/analyzed by the NMSC (a summary of the findings will be posted here on the BCA website by the end of the year).
