Last fall, the community was invited to complete an online survey prepared by the National Main Street Center (NMSC). Its purpose was to gather feedback from local stakeholders and help the BCA identify new strategies that would effectively promote and support the downtown business community.
A total of 262 responses were collected in the span of three weeks. The BCA thanks everyone who participated and is now sharing a slide presentation outlining the survey's results. It is interesting to note that the top three businesses respondents wanted to see open in the downtown were 1) cafe/bakery, 2) entertainment venue, and 3) a bookstore.
Thanks to assistance from the state's Main Street New Jersey Program, input from the surveys along with conversations with local stakeholders, will be used to help direct BCA's plans and activities intended to make our downtown center a desirable destination for visitors, shoppers and entrepreneurs. Stay tuned!
