Bloomfield Center Alliance raises money to help downtown businesses

02-11-2020

In collaboration with the township, the Bloomfield Center Alliance (BCA) held a fundraiser at Essex Junction Craft Kitchen and Bar on Wednesday, February 5th. Over fifty people came out that evening and together the community raised close to $4,000 for the BCA Disaster Relief Fund. There was great energy in the restaurant as people came together to show their support for the affected businesses and enjoy delicious food courtesy of Jeremy Goldberg and Essex Junction. Several people from the displaced businesses also attended to show their appreciation, including Nick Zois - owner of Roxy Florist. The BCA thanks everyone who joined us that evening and contributed to the cause, and extends a special thanks to BCA Board member Stella Kelly, Councilwoman Wartyna Davis, and Essex Junction Craft Kitchen and Bar. The BCA is administering the Disaster Relief Fund and will distribute the monies collected to anyone affected by the recent fires and in need of assistance during this trying time. Anyone interested in contributing should write the check to BCA Disaster Relief Fund and send it to 55 Washington Street, Bloomfield, NJ. There is another way to support these businesses and contribute to the Disaster Relief Fund. Our very own Bloomfield Buy Rite Liquors recently announced that it will be matching all contributions - dollar for dollar - made as part of in-store purchases or on its app and website! The BCA thanks Rocky, Inam and the rest of the team at Bloomfield Buy Rite Liquors for making it so easy to support this cause while buying from their store. Please visit their website for more information.
