Bloomfield's Annual Fall Festival Cancelled!

07-25-2020

The Bloomfield Center Alliance (BCA) has announced that it is cancelling this year's Harvest Fest due to concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The outdoor fall festival traditionally takes place the first weekend of October, along several blocks near the township's downtown district. Citing the current pandemic and the likelihood that it will remain a health concern for months to come, BCA Executive Director Ollyn J. Lettman explains, "The BCA Board of Directors, in consultation with the township's Administration, decided that the scale and scope of the event, which has in the past drawn several thousand people, is too large an affair to implement when considering the safety of the public in today's reality." The BCA has moved forward with other events this summer that are smaller in scale and therefore easier to maintain various safety protocols now being instituted by the organization. They include Cruise Nights Car Shows and the al fresco dining series - Dinner Under the Stars.
