Pedestrian Improvement Project Underway along Glenwood Avenue - Bloomfield Center

November 2020 - Mayor Michael Venezia recently announced the commencement of a major street construction project implementing various pedestrian and roadway improvements along Glenwood Avenue from Washington Street to the East Orange border. Some of the work will be implemented within the township's downtown district. Funded by state grants, the improvements will include replacement of concrete sidewalks and curbs, reconstruction of handicapped ramps at various intersections, installation of new street lights, and roadway resurfacing.
