On Friday, August 18th, Bloomfield Mayor Michael Venezia and Councilman Nick Joanow joined entrepreneur Kitana James,  BCA Director Ollyn Lettman, and other stakeholders to help in formally welcoming one of the downtown's newest businesses - Amai Ice Cream.   

The business, which opened back in May, is serving up a wide assortment of Thai-style rolled ice cream flavors, sorbets, and frozen desserts.   Several representatives of the downtown business community came out as well to show their support (and excitement) for Amai Ice Cream presence in the Center, including Stella Kelly of Lynnes Auto Group, Diane Smith of State Farm Insurance, Genaro Prencipe of Bury the Hatchet.   The BCA was also represented by BCA board member Gregory Babula and Event/Marketing Coordinator SaKarra Fite.
