New restaurants coming to Bloomfield Center

At the second Meet and Greet of the year, the Bloomfield Center Alliance (BCA) shared some exciting news with a number of local business/property owners regarding new restaurants planning to open in Bloomfields downtown district. The gathering was held at The Wooden Spoon Southern Kitchen and Saloon whose highly anticipated opening has generated quite a buzz due in part to their participation in the organizations recent Block Party back in May. Chef/Owner Donald Erickson, Jr. shared his excitement in being part of the downtown business community and outlined the restaurants vision which, along with great southern fare, includes live music and an extensive daily brunch menu. The gathering was also an opportunity to share additional news of two more restaurants planning to open in Bloomfield Center in the coming months. Invited guests Phil and Paul Sannitti introduced themselves as the owners of BGR (Burgers Grilled Right) that plans to open a franchise location in the ground floor space at the new mixed-use development The Green located on Broad Street. This is the first commercial lease signed for the major development project that contains 144 apartment units to the first two other Highlighting Bloomfield Centers steadily growing dining scene, The BCA also introduced two other restaurateurs whose enterprises are slated to open in 2017. Special guests Phil and Paul Sannitti announced their recent decision to open a BGR (Burgers Grilled Right)franchise location in the ground floor of the new mixed-use development known as The Green on Broad Street. A third restaurant planning to open in Bloomfield Center is Mangia Organica, which plans to serve healthy gluten free and authentic pasta dishes and other Italian treats. Websites . . .
