April 18, 2018 - As an organization dedicated to promoting Bloomfield Center's business community, the BCA is giving people another reason to come and experience our downtown. Its new Bloomfield Center Gives Back initiative combines the BCA's primary mission of supporting local businesses with helping nonprofit organizations serving the community.
Reaching out to several local groups and matching them up with an equal number of committed, willing restaurants, the BCA has scheduled a series of evenings where people, dedicated to supporting certain causes, can dine and have 10% of their bill donated to the organization. "Give Back" days are scheduled to start April 18th and will go through the end of May. "By structuring it over several weeks, we give the chance for people to support more than one organization, while enjoying a nice dining experience in one of our great restaurants," states BCA Director Ollyn J. Lettman. Here is a schedule and listing of participating organizations/restaurants:
April 18th - Bloomfield Animal Shelter/Braun's Tavern & Dining Room
April 27th - Kindersmile Foundation/Anthony's
May 2nd - United Way of Bloomfield/Aki Asian House
May 9th - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service/The Wooden Spoon Southern Kitchen and Saloon
May 15th - Bloomfield Library/Italia Restaurant
May 16th - Friends of Watsessing Park/Mangia Organica
May 23rd - Bloomfield Educational Foundation/Essex Junction Craft Kitchen and Bar
May 30th - Bloomfield Youth Aid Foundation/Burgers Grilled Right (BGR)
May 30th - Bloomfield Fire Department/Bloomfield Steak and Seafood House
Individuals wanting to participate and have a portion of their bill donated to that organization, must print or download a flyer and present it to the restaurant's staff. The flyer can be accessed on the BCA Facebook page or our website's Events' Listings tab.
