December 26, 2018 - Another restaurant has opened its doors in Downtown Bloomfield! The El Toro Loco Modern Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar is Bloomfield Centers newest destination for great food and fun times. The occasion was marked with a ribbon-cutting that took place on Friday, December 14th. Bloomfield Mayor Michael Venezia welcomed the new restaurant and helped cut the ribbon. He was joined by representatives from the Bloomfield Center Alliance (BCA), Suburban Essex Chamber of Commerce, and Bloomfield College. "I am pleased to welcome 'El Toro Loco Mexican Restaurant' to Bloomfield. I hope they will embrace and add to the sense of community that many businesses in our Downtown area have fostered, by making residents and patrons feel comfortable, and contributing to the cleanliness of Downtown," said Mayor Michael Venezia. "I am sure this new restaurant will embrace these values we have here in Bloomfield, and will be welcomed by residents for such. Welcome to Bloomfield, and good luck!" Also on hand for the ribbon-cutting, co-owner Kishan Patel shared his excitement with opening in Bloomfield Center saying, Our restaurants focus will be on bringing inventive, modern Mexican cuisine to our customers, while our tequila bar will give aficionados over 100 flavors to choose from. Along with delicious food, he indicated that they will draw people with special promotions/events, including: ladies nights, happy hours, and salsa dancing. We really look forward to working with the township, the BCA, and the organizations weve met so far to host events and serve the residents of Bloomfield. The opening of this new restaurant means that there is yet another reason for people from near and far to visit Bloomfield Center and check out our emerging restaurant scene, suggests Bloomfield Center Alliances Executive Director Ollyn J. Lettman. The variety of dining options now available is helping to promote our downtown as a culinary destination for foodies looking to experience great dining and good times. This same block is also home to several other restaurants including Aki Asian House, Anthonys, and Essex Junction Craft Kitchen and Bar.
